Day 2: Relaxation by the Pool

Day two was dedicated to relaxation around the hotel pool, where we enjoyed cocktails and the sun. In the evening, we took a leisurely stroll along the beach to San Antonio, where we dined at Restaurante Tijuana, a fantastic Tex-Mex restaurant. The food was delightful, and we highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area.

Day 4: Pool Recovery Day

After the vibrant energy of the previous day, we embraced a slower pace with a restorative afternoon by the pool. The gentle Mediterranean breeze provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation before we headed out for the evening. We enjoyed an exceptional meal at Casa Thai, a culinary gem situated a short stroll from our hotel. The authentic flavours and serene setting made it a highlight of our stay, offering incredible quality at a reasonable price.

As evening approached, we secured a table at the world-renowned Café Del Mar for dinner, where we watched the sky transform into a canvas of amber and violet during the iconic sunset. The atmosphere was electric yet sophisticated, perfectly capturing the spirit of the island. Afterwards, we strolled to Café Mambo next door for drinks, enjoying the pulsing house music and lively crowds that define Ibiza’s legendary coastline.

Day 10: Island Excursion

We embarked on an excursion to explore all four corners of the island. Our journey included stops at Las Salinas, Portinatx, and San Miguel, along with a visit to the party town of San Antonio or the upscale Santa Eulalia.

In the morning, we passed the snowy-white salt flats of Las Salinas. Once in the quaint village of San José, we visited the 18th-century fortress church, Parròquia de Sant Josep, and enjoyed the bustling town square.

After a brief photo stop in Santa Eulalia, we enjoyed lunch in the picturesque coastal resort of Portinatx. Our final stop was the port of San Miguel, where we toured the Caves of Can Marca, concluding with an evocative sound and light display within the ancient limestone walls before heading back to our pickup point.

We caught the 9:00 AM bus from the station in San Antonio to Eivissa town, which cost €6 each for a return ticket. After a quick five-minute walk, we hopped on the air-conditioned Trasmapi ferry to Formentera, which took us on a scenic 17 km trip to La Savina. Stepping onto Formentera felt akin to arriving in the Caribbean; the shoreline greeted us with translucent turquoise waters and sands of purest white. We rented bikes and cycled to Platja de Ses Illetes, where we snorkelled and enjoyed a bite to eat before returning to Eivissa to explore the old town.
