Farewell to Siargao

Saying goodbye to Siargao after six days at Camanolo Homestay and catching a CebuGo flight to Cebu Island for the next part of our Philippines trip.

After six great days at Camanolo Homestay it was time to say goodbye to Siargao. We’d packed a lot in: a land tour of the island, the long boat trip out to Sohoton Cove, a day exploring on scooters and the Three Island Tour.

Siargao is best known for its surfing. The famous break at Cloud 9 became known around the world in 1992, when photos of surfers riding it appeared in international surf magazines. We headed to the airport for our CebuGo flight to Cebu Island, looking forward to the next part of the trip.

Good to know

  • Domestic flights: baggage allowances on the smaller planes can be tight, so check yours before you pack.

We checked these details in October 2026. Times, prices and rules do change, so it’s worth a quick look at the official sites before you go.

See it on film

Most of our trips have a film on YouTube, from puffins on Skomer to the Drake Passage.
