After a relaxing morning on Green Island we went back to the mainland. The island’s ferries run between Nanliao Harbour and Fugang Harbour, which lies near Taitung. We checked into the Formosan Naruwan Hotel in Taitung. Like every other leg of our loop round Taiwan, this one was done by public transport.
We spent the afternoon exploring on foot. Later we came across a really good local restaurant, and the Taiwanese food there was a tasty end to our time on the coast.
Good to know
- The ferry back: it runs from Nanliao Harbour on Green Island to Fugang Harbour, 50 minutes to an hour, and times can change with the weather. Check the timetable the day before. East Coast National Scenic Area
