We weren’t allowed out of the hotel, apart from forty-five minutes a day of fresh air on the roof terrace, and we made the most of every one of them. It was a hard stretch, and it gave us plenty of time to think.
Good to know
- Then and now: Thailand’s Covid rules ended long ago, and there’s no testing or quarantine on arrival now.
- Travel insurance: check what your policy covers if you’re delayed or stuck abroad through no fault of your own.
We checked these details in October 2026. Times, prices and rules do change, so it’s worth a quick look at the official sites before you go.
