The 2022 trip started with touchdown at Bangkok airport in January. Covid entry rules were still in force then, so the first job was getting through the health checks and showing our Thai Passes. Once that was done we were driven straight to the Nouvo City Hotel.
Arrival PCR tests were part of the rules at the time, and ours were done promptly. We spent a quiet evening at the hotel wondering what the next few weeks would bring.

- Entry for UK visitors: since 15 September 2026, British visitors can stay up to 30 days without a visa (it was 60 days before). Everyone must also fill in the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card online in the three days before arriving. GOV.UK
