Day ten was an excursion round all four corners of the island, taking in Las Salinas, San José, Santa Eulalia, Portinatx and the Caves of Can Marçà near Port de Sant Miquel.
First thing in the morning we passed the bright white salt flats of Las Salinas. The salt pans there are still worked, and the area is a natural park with around 210 species of birds, flamingos among them. In the small village of San José we visited the 18th-century fortress church, built between 1727 and 1731 and the only church on Ibiza with a sundial, and had a look round the busy town square.
Next came a quick photo stop in Santa Eulalia, then lunch in the pretty coastal resort of Portinatx. Our last stop was the port of San Miguel, where we toured the Caves of Can Marçà. The visit finished with a sound and light show inside the old limestone caves, with the water lit up and glowing, before we headed back to our pickup point.
