We left laid-back Moalboal and moved on to Oslob, where we checked into New Village Lodge. The rest of the day was spent doing karaoke with the locals, which is a big part of life here, and we finished off with a Thai massage.
Oslob is an old town on the southern tip of Cebu. Its Immaculate Conception Church is built of cut coral stone and was started in 1830, with the bell tower added in 1858. Close by are the ruins of the Cuartel, barracks begun by the Spanish around 1860 in coral blocks and never finished before Spanish rule ended in 1898.
