Our Bali Travel Experience: 14 Unforgettable Days
Embarking on a Bali travel experience offers incredible opportunities for adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. Over the course of 14 days, we explored many stunning locations on this beautiful island. Here’s a detailed account of our memorable journey.

Day 1: Arrival in Seminyak
We flew into Ngurah Rai International Airport, landing at 11:00 AM. Upon arrival, we met our taxi and ventured to our Airbnb located in bustling Seminyak. The lovely host greeted us with welcome drinks and provided a quick tour of the villa. Once we settled in, we took a stroll around the area to get our bearings and stopped at a local restaurant for a drink. In the evening, we dined at Motel Mexicola, where the attentive staff and delicious food created a buzzing atmosphere. We highly recommend this vibrant spot!

Day 2: Relaxation at Potatohead Beach Club
For our second day, we decided to spend a relaxing time at Potatohead Beach club. We booked ahead to secure a daybed, which offered excellent value as the cost contributed as credit to our restaurant and bar bill. The day was filled with enjoyable cocktails and delicious food, making it one of our favorite days in Bali.

Day 3: Exploring Seminyak
Day three saw us wandering around Seminyak. We treated ourselves to a rejuvenating massage and took the time to explore local shops and the beach, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the area.

Day 4: Adventure to Nusa Penida
We embarked on an exciting day trip to Nusa Penida, booking our tour with Panca at Bali Customized tours which we highly recommend. Panca picked us up from our Airbnb and drove us to the ferry port in Denpasar for our 8:00 AM speedboat ride. On the tour, we visited Klingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel Billabong, and Crystal Bay, enjoying a picturesque stop for lunch before returning by speedboat in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Fun at Finns Beach Club
On our fifth day, we visited Finns Beach Club. Like with Potatohead, we paid ahead of time for loungers, and the cost credited towards our restaurant and bar bill. Finns Beach Club has a more upbeat vibe compared to the chilled atmosphere of Potatohead. We enjoyed the lively music from live DJs and found the staff to be highly attentive, enhancing our overall experience. It was the perfect spot to unwind while enjoying delicious food and drinks.

Day 6: A Day by the Pool
After several adventurous days, we opted for a relaxing day by the villa pool. We also indulged in a local massage, allowing us to recharge for the adventures ahead.

Day 7: Last Day in Seminyak
On our final day in Seminyak, we explored local markets and cooking classes. We discovered Warung Nia, where we savored the best ribs we’ve ever had—this place is definitely a must-visit!

Day 8: Journey to Ubud
We began the day with breakfast at Kynd Cafe before checking out of our Seminyak villa. Then, we traveled approximately 1.5 hours up to Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali.

Day 9: Elephant Sanctuary Visit
In Ubud, we visited the Mason Elephant Sanctuary, where we had the opportunity to learn about and interact with these magnificent creatures.

Day 10: A Day with Bali Customized Tours
We spent an exhilarating day with Bali Customized Tours, visiting the wonder of seven waterfalls. This adventure included walking through hidden rice fields, natural water slides, and jumping into the river. We also tried out the famous “Bali swings,” and the day was incredibly enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

Day 11: Exploring Ubud’s Monkey Forest
We rented mopeds and drove to one of Ubud’s most popular attractions, the Monkey Forest. This beautiful park is home to around 700 monkeys and is a rainforest sanctuary that allows visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of town life. Established based on ancient Hindu principles, the park holds great spiritual significance for the local people.

Day 12: Sunrise Trekking at Mount Batur
We woke early for a sunrise trekking adventure to Mount Batur with Bali Customized Tours This active volcano is located in a stunning caldera and offers breathtaking views of Lombok Island. The trek took about 1.5 hours to reach the summit, where we enjoyed a hot coffee and breakfast while watching the sunrise.

Day 13: Visit to Tegalalang Rice Terraces
On our penultimate day, we headed to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, one of Bali’s iconic tourist spots. These breathtaking rice terraces, set high on a cliff and surrounded by lush greenery, exemplify the island’s agricultural heritage.

Day 14: Departure from Bali
On our final day in Bali, we gathered our belongings and hired a private driver to take us from our Ubud villa to Ngurah Rai International Airport for our flight home. Reflecting on all the incredible memories we created, we concluded that Bali is truly an amazing place. We will definitely return one day!
Conclusion
Our Bali travel experience was nothing short of extraordinary. With a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion, Bali has captured our hearts, and we can’t wait to share our experiences with fellow travelers.
