Our first full day on Siargao was a land tour, and it covered a good spread of the island. We took in the views from the Coconut View Deck, then spent some time by the calm Maasin River.
After that we explored the Magpupungko Rock Pools. These natural pools in the rocks only show at low tide, when the sea pulls back far enough to leave them behind. Our last stop was Sugba Lagoon, which lies 20 to 30 minutes by boat from Del Carmen, and it was a beautiful place to end the day.

- Sugba Lagoon: it’s a 20 to 30-minute boat ride from Del Carmen. Foreign visitors pay an entrance fee plus small environmental and terminal fees, and visits are limited to three hours.
