Next up was a boat trip out to Sohoton Cove. After about two hours on the water we reached the lagoon the cove is known for, home to a stingless kind of jellyfish that are usually there from about March to June. Outrigger boats were moored in the cove.
From there we made our way around the cove to the Snoring Cave and the Cliff Diving Cave. Tiktikan Lagoon was a quieter spell after that. The day ended with stops at Corregidor Island and the white sand of Naked Island.
Good to know
- The jellyfish: they’re a stingless kind and are usually there from about March to June.
- Getting there: it’s a long day: a drive to Dapa Port, then an hour or more by boat. Expect to pay an eco-tour fee of around 800 pesos at the tourist centre on top of the boat.
