The Best of Balinese Flavour

Our final day in Seminyak, Bali: the best slow-cooked ribs we've ever had at Warung Nia, then a wander round the local markets.

Our last day in Seminyak was all about the food. We found Warung Nia on Jalan Kayu Aya, where we had the best slow-cooked ribs we’ve ever eaten.

We spent the rest of the day browsing the local markets before saying goodbye to the coast. Seminyak had been our home for a week, and the next morning we’d be on our way inland.

Good to know

  • Warung Nia: it’s on Jalan Kayu Aya in Seminyak, and as far as we can tell it’s still going.
  • Paying at markets: small stalls usually want cash in rupiah, so keep some small notes on you.

We checked these details in October 2026. Times, prices and rules do change, so it’s worth a quick look at the official sites before you go.

See it on film

Most of our trips have a film on YouTube, from puffins on Skomer to the Drake Passage.
