Into the Cultural Heart

Breakfast at Kynd Cafe in Seminyak, then the drive inland to Ubud through rice fields and jungle, into the cultural centre of Bali.

After a colourful breakfast at Kynd Cafe, we headed inland to Ubud. The Seminyak café opened in 2017 and is still the biggest of the Kynd cafés.

We’d arranged a private driver for the journey. The scenery changed as we went, with green rice fields and thick jungle gradually taking over from the coast. Ubud is known as the cultural centre of Bali, and it was where we’d spend the rest of the trip.

Good to know

  • Kynd: the Seminyak café opened in 2017 and is still the biggest of its cafés. Kynd Community
  • Seminyak to Ubud: we used a private driver. Traffic round Bali can be slow, so allow plenty of time.

We checked these details in October 2026. Times, prices and rules do change, so it’s worth a quick look at the official sites before you go.
