We moved over from Railay to Ao Nang and checked into the Ava Sea Krabi Resort. Unlike Railay, which you can only reach by boat, Ao Nang can be reached by road, and it’s a busier place altogether.
Ao Nang is the main starting point for boat trips to Railay and the nearby islands, and the seafront is a long strip of hotels, guesthouses, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. That evening we worked our way round the food stalls of the local night market.
