Our week in the mountains was nearly over, and we said goodbye to the rest of the group, swapping memories of the walks we’d shared.
We spent the rest of the day pottering around Wengen’s quiet, car-free streets, which had become very familiar. From the village we could look down over the green Lauterbrunnen Valley, with a waterfall pouring down the cliff and the village of Lauterbrunnen far below. Over coffee at a local café we looked back on the hikes of the past week, from the Royal Walk at Männlichen to the flower trail above Mürren, and made the most of our last hours in the Bernese Oberland.
