Day two was all about Potato Head Beach Club. The club looks out over the Indian Ocean, and the building was designed by the architect Andra Matin, using thousands of reclaimed timber shutters.
We’d booked a daybed in advance and the booking fee went towards what we spent. That meant we could simply drift between the pool and the bar all afternoon, working our way through the cocktail list and eating by the pool. After the arrival day it was a properly tranquil one.

- Potato Head: open from 10am, until midnight Sunday to Thursday and 2am at weekends. Walk-ins are welcome, and daybeds can be booked online. Between 4pm and 6.30pm there’s a cover charge you can put towards drinks. Potato Head
