Wandering Seminyak

A slow day in Seminyak, Bali: browsing the boutique shops, a walk along Seminyak Beach and a Balinese massage to finish the afternoon.

We took things slowly and spent the day wandering round Seminyak’s boutique shops and along the sand at Seminyak Beach. The beach faces west, so it’s a good place to be when the sun goes down.

Then we treated ourselves to a Balinese massage, which was exactly what we needed after the busy streets. After the airport run, a big night at Motel Mexicola and a long afternoon at Potato Head, a quieter day was welcome.

Good to know

  • Seminyak Beach: it faces west, so it’s a good place to be at sunset.
  • Planning your own trip: our Bali Things to Know covers money, getting around and the levy.

We checked these details in October 2026. Times, prices and rules do change, so it’s worth a quick look at the official sites before you go.

See it on film

Most of our trips have a film on YouTube, from puffins on Skomer to the Drake Passage.
